random...

I was volunteering in Gracie's class at school and helping the kids do an art project. They were putting their thumbs in an ink pad and then stamping their thumb on a paper to make "bugs." One of the girls looks at her thumb which is now all black, and tells me, "My thumb looks like my grandma's toe before they cut it off!" It caught me so off guard and I started laughing. The little girl looked at me in disgust for laughing about her grandma's toe being amputated. I had to cover up and tell her I wasn't laughing at her and I'm so sorry that her grandma's toe turned black and had to be cut off. Kids say the darndest things!

Sioux Falls Trip to Find a Home

My mom came into town to watch the kids so that Phil and I could fly out to Sioux Falls to look for a house. We planned our trip for 5 days (2 days traveling), had a realtor established, and a list of homes we wanted to view. Our realtor set up appointments for us all day Thursday. After viewing 14 homes, we narrowed it down to 2 by that night. Friday we went back to view those 2 homes to make our final decision. All day Friday and Saturday morning Phil and I prayed our guts out about which home we should buy. We just couldn't get a good feeling about either one. We were leaving on Sunday morning, so by Saturday morning we were a mess thinking we'd be leaving Sioux Falls without a home. For "some reason" Phil and I felt like we should go look at this one home which we looked at on Thursday and had discounted because it was 6 miles south of Sioux Falls in a small town called Harrisburg. We got a hold of our realtor and headed out there. I don't know what else to say other than it felt right and we knew it was the one! We went straight back to the realty office and put an offer on the house...they accepted!

My testimony of prayer and working diligantly to find an answer to prayer has grown so much! Heavenly Father truly blessed our family that day!

Parker's Preschool Field Trip

Parker's preschool class took a fun trip to the farm. Here's what he got to see and do...

Parker eating ice cream with his good friend Kenadee. Kenadee is in Parker's primary class and they are inseparable. They always hold hands walking from sacrament to the primary room and they always have to sit by each other in class.
So cute!
